Hard To Fault In Any Way

We spent three nights here and would thank other Tripadvisor members for steering us to this hotel...five minutes walk to the Riverwalk on well-lit streets and five minutes in the other direction to Sunset Station and an excellent Mexican restaurant. The room was very comfortable, with a separate seating area, wide selection of tv channels, excellent and varied breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff. Parking was free - a bonus in that location. If we go back to San Antonio we won't look anywhere else.

Park The Car For The Weekend

Walking distance to the Riverwalk and the trolley system...that is what we were looking for. San Antonio is definitely a great location to park the car during your visit and free parking at the hotel helps quite a bit. The hotel even offers discounted trolley tickets to guests. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The room left nothing to be desired, it met all of our expectations including having the fridge. Free internet worked flawlessly.  The building is an old warehouse with a very cool history that was renovated to be a hotel. The history is charming to be sure. I would absolutely stay here again.

Manager's Note - We ARE proud of the history of our hotel including the old "speak-easy" downstairs by our laundry facility.  Mind you, only the lobby building was part of the historic warehouse, the guest room building was actually erected in early 2000.  Glad to know you enjoyed your stay.

"We would stay here again. The location is great for all major attractions in San Antonio, the VIA bus and trolley is the way to get around in the city and the bus stops on the corner, so convenient. Just a short walk to (the) Riverwalk, free parking, breakfast served in hotel for a small cost. I loved the decor. The room was clean, fresh, everthing in our room was in good operating order and the staff was very helpful."

"This hotel is just the right size and close to everything and convenient to highway, shopping and restaurants. Wonderful rooms with sitting room. We had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. We had free parking and free wi-fi...our two "had to have" items. We got a wonderful breakfast buffet for $3.50. Everyone was wonderful with directions since my husband and I are both directionally illiterate. We never got lost once, and that is saying a lot. If this hotel had a jacuzzi in the bedroom, I would never leave. It was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had for the city we were in and the reason we were in San Antonio...a lot of shopping! Loved it!"

Near Everything We Needed

“Picked for being within walking distance of Amtrak Station.  Was so impressed, returned a week later in rental car and enjoyed the fact that it was within walking distance of Riverwalk and other attractions.  Rooms were large and comfortable.  Staff was friendly and helpful.  Breakfast was tasty and priced reasonably, and the restored building impressive.  Would stay again and recommend to friends.”

Great Location, Breakfast, Staff, Clean, Free Parking

"We stayed here for a week, and what a pleasent surprise for a downtown hotel. It was spotlessly clean. 5 mins walk to the convention center and stadium. The downtown bus stops outside, and it was a small intimate place. The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The free parking was just great, because most places charge up to $18 a night. And lots of it. The breakfast was hot, lots to choose from and a lovely lady was there to help, clear up and restock. No running out here. It was only $4 (actually $3.45 plus tax). Great. The property is in part, an old converted warehouse, very nicely done, but the bedrooms are in the new block. A small hotel, and this is reflected in its service. Any problems were dealt with on a no quibble basis. Would definately stay again. A credit to the best western chain,........."
